Can I Restore Windows 10 Backup to Another Computer?

My hard drive failed and took out the motherboard when it failed. I had run a Windows 10 backup to an external hard drive prior to the failure. Can I restore the backup to another computer running Windows 10?

Create A Windows 10 System Image Backup

To restore system image to another computer, please follow the steps below to create a system image now.

Step 1. Launch AOMEI Backupper, click System Backup in the Backup column.

Step 2Choose the external hard drive as the destination to save the Windows 10 system image file.

Select Backup Destination 

✍Change Task Name to distinguish from others if need be.
✍AOMEI Backupper will select the system partitions (like C partition, EFI system partition, Recovery partition, etc. If exists) as the source by default.

Step 3. Press Start Backup >> to create a system image for Windows 10.

Now restore Windows 10 system image to different computer. Please create a WinPE bootable media, and use the Windows 10 system image created before to restore to dissimilar hardware computer.

Step 1. Boot the new different computer with WinPE bootable media, AOMEI Backupper will automatically run and connect the external hard drive contains with the Windows 10 system image.
