• Remove the three Phillips M2.0×5.0 screws along the bottom of the bottom cover.
• Using a non-marking tool, start prying near the middle of the computer near the display and work around to separate the bottom cover from computer, and then remove the bottom cover.

5. Remove the battery.

• Remove the three Phillips PM2.0×5.0 screws that secure the battery to the computer.
• Lift the battery up near the connector, and then remove the battery from the computer.

Replace HDD with SSD on HP Gaming Pavilion 15-cx0056wm

Now you can remove the old HDD and install the new SSD.

1. Lift the hard drive ZIF connector, and then disconnect the hard drive cable from the system board.
2. Remove the four Phillips M2.0×5.0 screws that secure the hard drive to the computer.
3. Remove the hard drive from the computer.

4. To remove the hard drive bracket and connector, pull the connector away from the hard drive.
5. Remove the four Phillips M3.0×3.0 screws that secure the bracket to the hard drive.
6. Pull the bracket away from the sides of the hard drive to remove it.

7. Reverse this procedure to assemble and install the new SSD. Reinstall the battery and bottom cover. Then reconnect power to start your computer.
