Issue with AirDrop names not displaying

I have two iPads. Frequently I’m using them both at the same time and need to airdrop an image from my iPhone to one of the iPads. Both iPads have unique names. However, they both show up as “ iPad” on my iPhone. How do I get my iPhone to see the names given to the two iPads? It’s so frustrating.
