Method 1. Get free ringtone on iPhone via GarageBand

GarageBand app is released by Apple to ensure iPhone and iPad users make music. Make sure your iPhone is running iOS 11 or later, and install GarageBand app from the App Store. Now, simply follow the steps below to make a custom ringtone on your iPhone.

Step 1. Go to GarageBand > Choose any available instrument. For instance, choose Keyboard.

Step 2. Tap on the project icon as shown in the screenshot below > Loop > On the Music section, tap Songs.

Step 4. Tap on this track and drag the ends to trim the audio recording as you like. You can tap on Play located at the top to play it back.

Step 5. The music track needs to be under 40 seconds in length. Tap the Downward Arrow to save it to My Songs.

Step 6. Your GarageBand project will show up under Recent as My Song. Long Press it > Share > Choose Ringtone option.

Step 7. Give the ringtone a name of your choice and tap Export. When it is over, tap Use sound as... for further settings.

You may set it as your default ringtone or text tone here. You are also allowed to assign the sound to a specific contact. If you simply want to add it to the list of existing ringtones, choose Done instead.

Now, you can ask someone to make a phone call to you, or go to Settings > Sound & Haptics > Ringtones to have a check.

Step 5. Open iTunes, click the phone icon and choose Summary. Note that the option “Manually manage music and videos” is checked. Click Apply.
