In this article, we will introduce to you how to use the Data Recovery Assistant software to help you to recover deleted Photos, Videos, Voice memos, Contacts, Call history, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Safari Bookmarks and WeChat Chat History on iOS device.
In our daily life, cell phone becomes an indispensable tool in human interaction. There are also many sweet memories on the cell phone. Then, unconsciously, some cell phone data will be deleted accidentally. In this case, you can choose our data recovery assistant to help you recover the needed data in a short time.
Step 1. Install and launch the Data Recovery Assistant software on a Windows computer, and connect your iOS device to this computer via the charging cable as well. Unlock the phone screen and trust this computer.
Step 2. Click “Scan Now" to start scanning data on the connected iOS device.
Step 3. After the deep scan is finished, all the data would be listed. You could select the data you need to recover.
If you want to recover the deleted photos/videos, you could click the “Photos”/”Video” button to check the deleted photos/videos. All your photos and videos are listed. Please note that deleted photos or videos are displayed with an orange border.
For example, there is a deleted photo on 2021-09-07, we could select it. Then click “Recover” in the upper right corner.
Then choose a destination folder to save it. The program will help you save on C:\Program Files (x86)\MyRecover Assistant for iOS\Photos path by default. You could open the path to check the recovered photo.
If you want to recover the deleted Voice Memos, Contacts, Call History, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Safari Bookmarks, you can click on the corresponding button, and then you can choose at the top of the interface whether to show all, or only deleted, or only existing records.
For example, we want to recover a deleted Voice Memos, just select it then click “Recover”.
After clicking the Recover button, you can directly select the default path i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\MyRecover Assistant for iOS\MyRecover Assistant for iOS_Recover\Voice Memos to store your voice memos.
Tips:
1. Voice memos are stored in .mp3 format after recovery, while contacts, call history, calendar, reminders, notes, and Safari bookmarks are stored in .txt format after recovery. 2. When you restore Data Recovery Assistant will automatically create a folder for each item that will hold the recovered data.
If you need to recover deleted WeChat chat history. Please follow the below steps:
Step 1. First, click the WeChat icon, the software will analyze the WeChat data, then you can choose WeChat account, Contact Type, Chat history’s state, or sorted by Time/Name/Message Number to quickly search the Chat History that you want to save to the computer.
Step 2: Select one or multiple WeChat Contacts, click “Recover", then choose a local storage path to save the exported Chat History. If you do not select a folder, the software will help you store it to C:\Program Files (x86)\MyRecover Assistant for iOS\MyRecover Assistant for iOS_Recover\WeChat path. And you could find them there. Generally, it will save all chat history of every contact to a .txt file. Then, you can check all text chat history from the txt file.
Step 3: For videos, pictures or audios chat history, they can’t be saved to txt file. You need to browse and locate every video/picture/audio record individually, then right-click, select “Copy or Save…” it to your computer.
After the first scan, all the history will be backed up to the computer by default. You could follow the following steps to recover data records from the last scanned history without scanning again.
Step 1: launch the MyRecover Assistant software. And you do not need to connect to your iOS device again. Then you will see the History list, then click the scan frame to check the last scanned data.
Step 2: After that, you could still check the deleted data then recover them you needed.

1. The free version only allows viewing part of the records. If you need to view and save all the chat data, you may need to purchase the paid version. 2. The link records cannot be recovered at present. We will add it in later versions. 3. MyRecover Assistant currently supports iOS devices only.
