“I have a WD 3TB My Cloud Network Attached Storage-NAS-WDBCTL0030HWT-NESN, and I have already mapped this storage device on my Windows 7 computer. Now, I want to backup my Windows 7 computer to this WD NAS. Well, here is my question, how to backup Windows computer to WD NAS?”

Methods for backing up Windows to WD NAS

If you do not know how to backup Windows 7 to WD NAS, or other Windows operating systems like Windows 8 or Windows 10, here you can learn the ways to backup Windows 7/8/10 to WD NAS.

Method 1. Windows Backup and Restore

Windows has a built-in tool Backup and Restore which can help you backup Windows computer to WD NAS.

However, Windows OS has a limitation that you must have Windows7/8/10 Professional or Enterprise editions. Otherwise, you cannot use Windows built-in Backup and Restore utility to backup Windows to WD NAS, or other network share.
