What is NAS?

NAS is the short of Network Attached Storage. A NAS box is one of hard drives on your network, which all the users can access on the network. Thus, many users especially the individual users in a company, they always share data to NAS or backup to NAS so that any of them can use the data on their own PC just by accessing the NAS device. How to backup to NAS?

To backup Windows PC to NAS, you can use the Windows backup tool to do it or with third party application. Take Windows 10 as an example. To backup your PC with Windows 10 operating system, you should open the Backup and Restore (Windows 7) by accessing Control Panel (press “Win+R” and type Control Panel, press Enter). Then, click Set up backup.

Windows backup tool requires you must be a member of administrator, so here you should input the user’s name and password to enter. Then, click OK and confirm the information. Then, click Next to continue.
